“THE OLIVE BRANCH – MAY & JUNE 2011”

May was exciting as we were still launching our new ministry to BRAC realignment in our area to try and provide a haven of rest for the Jewish families being transferred into our area. At the same time we were still trying to close up some of our existing ‘Root & Branch Fellowships’ which has been very difficult emotionally. We had several new first time visitors out which is always exciting and May 18th was ‘Pesach Sheni’ or ‘Little Passover’ Num. 9:11. It was great to meet ‘Little Annie Owens’ who is a senior at Liberty University and serving in India this summer in a Hindu area. Please, Bevakasha, Pray for her and, please, ‘DO NOT’ post this on the internet or face-book, just pray, thanks!

May also was a VA month and that’s not an abbreviation for Virginia, for the right knee and left shoulder. The MRI of the knee showed a torn meniscus and they said, “Pass!” I wish I could tell you it was from kneeling too much when I pray but this time it was from getting off the lawn mower. They will fix it next summer; then two shots in the left shoulder for bursitis, to no avail, now an MRI in July and surgery in August. Oi vey! Keep me in prayer this summer because the next time you hear from me I may have already had an operation on my left ‘Rotator Cuff.’ Its summer time, most people go on Vacation, I go to the VA-cation and get body parts changed! L They passed on the right meniscus, and told me to think about a new right hip. I feel like a walking junk-yard. Have you ever seen that kid’s movie, Cars? Well, I feel like Tow-Mater, the toe truck!

June was great and some of the ‘Root & Branch Fellowships’ were a little low in attendance but others had cook-outs and had good attendance. I think the people came for the chicken and not the ‘Polish Teacher.’ Maybe we need more cookouts and less teaching. J  June was also wedding month for us as our baby who is 26 Adam, married the love of his life. We had the rehearsal dinner at ‘Rosa Rosa’s’ in Lancaster outside under a canopy and it was perfect and the wedding reception was at the ‘Purple Art Room’ also in Lancaster and it was exquisite and yes I cried and so did Kevin the bride’s father but he was probably thinking about cost analysis. J

No, I did not officiate, stop asking, none of my children have allowed me to do that, and I probably wouldn’t make it. I cry at weddings in a movie, for Pete’s sake. I was the best man for my brother Bob and I passed out and four men had to carry me out, right down the main aisle and then they had to come and get the rings. However, God was glorified and Christ was exalted and Janelle’s uncle officiated, and did a beautiful job and its official. Now there are 20 in the Boguski clan, 8 children, 4 by birth & 4 by marriage, 10 grandchildren and Ann and I and at least 3 more grandchildren on the way. Not tomorrow but they will be here, I have that promise on good authority, ‘A full quiver.’ Oh, if you stop by my house for a visit, don’t drink the water! J

Adam & Janelle will be returning to Wake Forest, NC where Adam will finish his M. Div at SEBTS. Janelle finished her Master’s Degree in social work at Millersville and has a job waiting for her. So we have been ‘Graced’ twice in 2011, once in February with ‘Eden Grace’ and once in June with ‘Janelle Grace.’ I don’t know which one is cuter but I do know which one is louder, Eden! When you send your children to Bible College sometimes they get more than a Bible Degree! J I prayed for 26 yrs, 16 days and 6 hours that Adam would find a cute brunette, who loved Jesus more than him, to be his help-meet, his ezer-ezer, ‘Life-Savor’ and her parents had to be saved and committed to Christ and that she played the piano. O.K. I was pushing the envelope a bit, so she can’t play the piano, but she can learn because Adam has one. So, get ready to give it back Becky. Now you need to join me in praying for God to, ‘Finish His Call’ in Adam’s life. Adam was called and he jumped ship like Jonah some years ago. So, yeah he needs a whale and a beach. If you have ever heard him preach or teach you would say, ‘That boy has a gift!’ No, it’s a call, so pray with me. He has his great-grandfather Theophilus’ death wish, to his grandfather Adam Theodore Boguski I, deep down in his (kavanah) his inner man, his (kiskahs) and he needs to pick up the baton and run with it! So, join me in prayer, now that he has his Bashertah (soul-mate) and she’s a keeper, and we love her with all of our hearts. It’s like she’s always been a part of our family, she’s more a daughter than a daughter-in-law and that’s how it should be! Mozal Tov!
